35th Seminar. Vadim Sidur - from Veteran of the Great Patriotic War to Nonconformist Sculptor

In my thesis with the working title “In Sidur’s studio: The non-conformist sculptor and artist Vadim Sidur between Soviet cultural policy and transnational networking” I am researching Sidur and his transnational network and especially his connections to the Federal Republic of Germany starting in the late 1960s.
In my presentation I will present the research from my biographical chapter about Sidur and his war experience and education to him becoming a "nonconformist" and attempt to divide his actions and work into the most important phases.
