33rd Seminar. Mastery of Timlessness: Official and Unofficial Moscow Art of the Seventies in Dialogue with Baroque and Enlightenment Paintings

In my presentation, I will try to analyze the appeals to the "old masters" in the art of the "official" and "unofficial" artists of Moscow in the 70s of the XX century, and once again show, using the found "common denominator" of classical painting, the failure of the dichotomy of the official and the unofficial. We will also consider questions about the spiritual (dukhovka) and the imperishable (netlenka) , the logic of the Leibniz fold, the didactics of historical painting of the 18th century and socialist realism.
